Roz (Clow) Izzo - Owner / Director
Roz started her dance career at age 3 (unknowingly!) taking classes in tap and jazz. By age 12 was training in 3 classes a week – 2 in Albany for tap and jazz, and private ballet lessons under Arlene Pasiunes (member of the Radio City Rockettes touring group) Roz was involved with 6 years of performing in the television industry, and did numerous show tours throughout the country. She also worked 2 years on location with Albany Fashion Models. Her teaching began at the age of 13 with a love for the “Performing Arts” and imparting it’s impact to others; realizing that dance effects every area of one’s life.
Roz attended The College of St. Rose for early childhood education and currently holds a NYS nursing license.
Her dance curriculum involves extensive continuing education with Dance Olympus and Dance Caravan. One of her favorite teachers on tour being Tommie Walsh (original cast of A Chorus Line).
Amanda Craft
Amanda has been with Roz’s Dance Works since she was 3 years old. She has studied various forms of dance including tap, jazz, and hip-hop just to name a few. She has participated in workshops locally as well as in New York City with organizations such as Dance Olympus & Dance Caravan. She is a favorite with our young students. Amanda has worked for a local daycare for many years and supervises children between the ages of 6 weeks – 12 years. She has a degree in early childhood and is currently enrolled in early childhood education classes.
Norine Allen - Advisor
Norine has a Masters Degree in Psychological Nursing, with an inclusive in Early Childhood Education through Adult. She is also a nurse practitioner and also holds a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School. Her wealth of knowledge assists the staff in giving them a solid background on the development of children.
Jr. Teachers
.John Trow has been with us for 18 years. He has studied tap, jazz and hip-hop, and is a member of our adult competition team. He loves performing and is also a favorite with our young students. John says ” I love teaching the students, watching them learn and knowing that I had something to do with that” John is also interested in drawing and painting .
Assistants to our teachers play a large role in helping to make our studio successful. They often spend a large amount of time assisting with classes while also participating in many other activities. Their devotion is an inspiration to our staff as well as other students.
James Polo
James joined Roz’s Dance Works in November of 2011 as a guest instructor,and shortly thereafter became a permanent member of the staff.
Originally from NYC where he started dance training, He became involved with The Kingston Energy Ulster Performing Arts Council Theatre in 2009, doing choreography and performing various modern dance, jazz and hip hop productions.
He was with: The Center for Creative Education Energy Dance Co., Saratoga Workshop Dance Flurry; teaching hip hop dance classes (popping, tutting and waving for youths and adults).
Performance Experience: Hollywood Vibe Competion - 1st Place for movie “Step Up 3″ – 1st Place for Culture Shock Dance Team- performed NYC Prelude Competion “Energy Elite”.
James attended The Monsters of Hip Hop competion in N.J., and placed in the top 5th. position. WAY TO GO JAMES !!!!

JENNIFER BACHAR
Jenny also came to Roz’s Dance Works as a guest instructor in November 2011,and soon became a permanent member of the staff.
A graduate of Howell High School for the Performing Arts, she then studied at The University of The Arts in Philadelphia,PA.,graduating with a Degree in Dance
Her training includes: 10 years with Center Stage and Theater School in : Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Point, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Modern. She took vocal training for 9 years, and acting for 5 years. She studied with The Briansky Ballet School, and attended classes at : Broadway Dance Center, Pulse Workshop, Denise Wall’s Dance Energy and ICON.
Performance Experience: Nut Cracker Production – Center Stage Dance and Theater School, Hip Hop Company – Wild Style, Production Company – CATS Dancers, Ensemble Company@ U of Arts.
Competions included: NYCDA, Starlight, Starpower and Headliners – all Regional and National Championships !!
Jenny is currently continuing dance training at Broadway Dance Center.
Her classes incompass all levels – beginners to advanced – teaching students to appreciate dance, and make the most of their talents!
